China - Beijing - Yonghegong

Nov 2011

This is the last group of pictures about this buddhist lama temple. It is interesting to notice that pilgrims can be praying and chatting with someone at the same moment.
Voici la dernière série de photos concernant cette lamasserie bouddhiste. Il est intéressant de noter que les pélerins peuvent prier tout en discutant avec quelqu'un.

  1. A Chinese temple is more colorful and has more decorations on the roofs than a Japanese temple!! But sincere prayers offered to Buddha are same.
It is always very delightful and interesting to see different cultures in different countries. Thank you for sharing.
Oh, you have practiced Aikido for 12 years. Great!
I wish 2012 is the happiest and best for you!!

In 1994, Aoniyoshi Concert was held by UNESCO in front of Great Buddha Hall of Todai-ji temple. Great Buddha Hall is the largest wooden structure in the world and the temple is World Heritage Site. Behind them, Great Buddha is listening to their music. Great Buddha Hall is lit up in blue and Buddha’s face is shown through an open window in the wall. I wonder how Buddha likes their music.
Incredible concert. But, personally I like this song so so.
