China/Tibet 2013-066-Lhassa - Norbulingka

Norbulingka is a palace and surrounding park in Lhasa, built from 1755. It served as the traditional summer residence of the successive Dalai Lamas from the 1780s up until the 14th Dalai Lama's exile in 1959. Norbulingka is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site. It was built by the 7th Dalai Lama and served both as administrative centre and religious centre. It is a unique representation of Tibetan palace architecture.
Norbulingka est un parc entourant un ensemble de palais à Lhassa, dont la constructiona débuté en 1755. Il a servi de résidence d'été traditionnelle pour les Dalai-Lama successifs depuis 1780 jusqu'à l'exil du 14eme Dalai Lama en 1959. Il s'agit d'un site classé au patrimoine mondial de l'humanité par l'UNESCO. Construit par le 7eme Dalai Lama, il s'est agi d'un centre à la fois religieux et administratif et est une représentation unique de l'architecture tibetaine des palais.

Like many other buddhist temples, pictures are forbidden inside, but I can tell there are amazing statues and things to see. Really amazing! So the two first pictures were shot before entering the buildling, and the last one shows the exit for visitors.
Tout comme dans de très nombreux autres temples bouddhistes, les photos sont interdites à l'intérieur, mais je peux dire qu'il y a un patrimoine culturel exceptionnel à y voir. Vraiment exceptionnel. Donc les deux premières photos sont prises avant d'entrer et la dernière montre la sortie du bâtiment pour les visiteurs.
