Like any city old enough in the world, there's an old part, built somewhere in the middle age centuries ago, and modern part grown outside of its walls. Our hotel was located deep into the ancient part of the city, and here is our arrival to its walls. We can even see the back of a woman wearing the traditionnal clothes from the Bai minority. A few other ones appear in th background of the picture. Some of them really wear those clothes, and are not just waiting for the turists.
Comme n'importe quelle ville suffisement vieille dans le monde, il y a la vielle ville, construite quelque part au moyen-âge il y a plusieurs siècles, et la ville moderne qui a poussé autour des remparts. Notre hotel était situé en plein coeur de la vieille ville, voici notre arrivée à ses murailles. Nous pouvons même voir le dos d'une femme portant les vêtements traditionnels de la minorité Bai, et quelques autres apparaissent en arrière-plan de la photo. Certaines portent réellement ces vêtements et ne se contentent pas seulement d'attendre les touristes.
