China/Tibet 2013-099-Shigatse - Tashilhunpo monastery

Shigatse is one of the biggest cities in Tibet. It also hosts one of the main monasteries, where Panchen-lamas (not to be mistaken with Dalai-lamas) come from. Panchen and Dalai lamas are a sensitive topic in Tibet, and I advice travellers not to talk too much about it unless tibetans start doing so.
Shigatse est l'une des plus grandes villes du Tibet. On y trouve également l'un des monastères les plus importants d'où sont issus les Panchen-Lama (à ne pas confondre avec le Dalai-lamas). Panchen et Dalai lamas sont un sujet sensible au Tibet et je conseille aux voyageurs de ne pas aborder le sujet à moins que les tibétains ne le fassent eux-mêmes.
