China - Wutaishan 02

Jul. 2012

Still the same temple as yesterday. It was crowded. Very crowded. Few foreigners shooting picture as was doing, but many chinese people runing and shouting everywhere so they can pray Buddha quickly before running to the next temple. Shooting pictures there (as well as praying, I guess) was a kind of sporty activity.

  1. Hello Arnaud,
I read your other blogs. It is very interesting for me to see similarities and differences between Japanese Buddhist temples and Chinese Buddhist temples. Buddhism came to Japan through China and Korea in 552.
The decorations on the roofs are so beautiful!!
Thanks a lot for sharing this. I enjoyed it !!
    Have a great week!

  4. In this year 2013, the heads of state of China officially declared preparations for war to Japan.
The army are gathered near the border.
Probably China will attack Japan in the near future.

Now China is invading territorial waters and air space of Japan almost every day.
War is not likely to be avoided.

    They hold many nuclear weapons.
Because my living area is neighborhood of Chinese border, I wouldn't be able to survive.
However, Japan will never defeated to China.

      "Never"

  5. Hi Ruma.
I think your second message needs a reply, as I deeply understand your concern about China. I actually'd better say "the chinese government" as they are the ones creating problem. Most of chinese citizens don't care those conflicts about some islands lost somewhere in the deep ocean. My wife who is chinese actually loves Japan and a band called "X Japan" (I'm sure you've heard about it.
I have to say I wish China never attacks nor defeats Japan as peace has and should be the main thing on Earth. As well, I know how strong can be the japanese kokoro, and how strong can be friends of Japan in the world.
After the second world war, France and Germany succeeded at becoming very good friends. I wish China and Japan succeed in doing the same in the future.
To you, to my my japanese friends, to my chinese friends, to other Japanese citizens, to other Chinese citizens, I wish a peacefull and happy life and hope those things you mention won't happen.

  6. Wu Tai Shan was really impressive. Don't judge the Chinese tourists, they are not much into religion. That's what Lao Tzu taught them.
