Blue sky over the Summer palace

Usually, there's always a sick-grey-yellow sky over Beijing because of dusts and pollution. Although it was my 6th trip there, I had never seen such a wonderfull blue sky for 5 days.
En général, le ciel de Pekin est toujours entre gris sale et jaune pisseux, en raison des poussières et de la pollution. Bien que ce voyage là aie déjà été le cinquième, je n'avais jamais vu un tel ciel bleu magnifique durant 5 jours.

Leisure in Beijing

In Beijing, in the quiet hutong, far away from the hell of the noisy crowded sightseeing and commercial places, people lead a very quiet life. Many beijingers use to play majong, chinese chess (on the picture) or cards all day long in public the gardens.

A pekin, dans les hutong calmes, loin des l'enfer des bruyants lieux de tourisme et de commerce, les gens mènent une vie tranquille. Beaucoup de Pekinois ont l'habitude de jouer au majong, aux échecs chinois (sur la photo) ou aux cartes toute la journée dans les jardins publics.

Food - yin and yang

This is a chinese hotpot. Of course, it respects the balance between the yin and the yang. I didn't try yet the spicy side of this dish, but the white one is very good. For the ones who tried it, it's the chinese version of the japanese shabu-shabu.

For the people who don't know it, it consists of grabbing some very thin pieces of meat or vegetables, dip it in the soup of your choice until it cooked, and then eat it. Very tasty.

Il s'agit d'une fondue chinoise. Bien entendu, ça respecte l'équilibre du yin et du yang. Je n'ai pas encore essayé la partie épicée, mais la partie blanche est très bonne. Pour ceux qui connaissent, il s'agit de la version chinoise du shabu-shabu japonais.

Pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas, il s'agit de prendre des très fins morceaux de viandes ou de végétaux et à les plonger dans le bouillon jusqu'à ce qu'ils soient cuits.
