One of my japanese friends welcomed me when i landed in Tokyo and took me for a few hours to a snack restaurant in Ueno before I take the connecting flight to Kumamoto. On the center of the menu she's poiting at something called "french cuisine". Well, it's actually a toast of french strong cheese (Camembert) with strawberry jam on it. Believe me, non french people reading it : I've never seen such an association of tastes in my homecountry !

Thank you for sharing your travel experience. Well, a toast of french strong cheese with strawberry jam is not French cuisine but it certainly looks exotic ! Maybe a kind of croque-monsieur ?
