Japan - Beppu - Jigoku - red spring

summer 2004 / été 2004

Jigoku means "hell" in Japanese. In Beppu, where this picture was shot, there are several very hot springs. This one has naturally red/orange water coming out from the ground.
Jogoku signifie "enfer" en Japonais. A Beppu, où, cette photo a été prise, il y a plusieurs sources d'eau très chaude. Celle-ci naturellement sort rouge-orangée du sol.

  1. Very nice pic!

Beautiful spring. We are in autumn now, so a miss spring, it is like the hell.

  2. oh, I tend to forget that when summer reaches us, winter arrives in the south hemispher. I hope your winter won't be as cold as the one we ahd in France (we spent 10 days with -17°c).
