For some people, that's really not a common food. I didn't like it for two reasons. First : those dried grasshopers taste like celery, and I hate celery. Second : after eating, you got their legs caught between your teeth.
the second reason sounds ...horrible...but thank you for describing it to your readers, that reduces the odds for me to have bugs' legs left between my teeth*_*
RépondreSupprimerDried Grasshoppers...WOW. I m sure it a delicacy around there but surely not in India. Interesting post...Thomas
RépondreSupprimerI saw these for sale in Hong Kong and in Indonesia, but I didn't feel at all tempted. They were very popular in both places with the locals.
RépondreSupprimerIn Beijing I even saw some small grilled black scoprions on sticks. Unfortunately I didn't have time to take any pic of it. My girlfriend is chinese, but she runs away when she sees any bug. Even as a food ^^.
RépondreSupprimerBelieve it or not, Some place in my country also have a traditional Food with this menu.
RépondreSupprimerBtw, I've tried this and I think grasshopper is delicious and also come with a good nutrition.
Regards.
